Homemade Crêpes Recipe (Makes 10–15 Crêpes)

🧺 Ingredients

  • 3 eggs 🥚
  • 250g flour 🌾
  • 500 ml milk 🥛
  • 50g salted butter (melted) 🧈
  • 50g sugar 🍬
  • 1 pinch of salt 🧂
  • 1-2 tablespoon of vanilla extract or 1 tablespoon of dark rum 🍦🥃
  • A bit more butter for the pan 🍳

👩‍🍳 Method

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt together.
  2. Make a well in the center and crack in the eggs. Whisk gradually.
  3. Slowly pour in the milk while whisking — this helps avoid lumps!
  4. Add the melted butter and your flavouring of choice (vanilla or rum).
  5. Let the batter rest for about 30 minutes (optional, but makes softer crêpes).
  6. Heat a lightly buttered pan over medium heat. Once hot, pour in a ladle of batter and swirl it around to coat the pan thinly.
  7. Cook for about 1–2 minutes per side until golden. Flip and repeat!

  • You can make the batter the night before and keep it in the fridge for a quick breakfast or brunch.
  • Leftover crêpes? Store them in the fridge with baking paper in between — they’ll last 2 days!
