Easy Soft and Airy Bread (Ready in No Time!)

If you want homemade bread that’s fast, foolproof, and incredibly soft and airy inside, this is the recipe you’ve been looking for. No kneading, no complicated steps—just mix, rise, bake, and enjoy. It works every time! 🙌

  • Type: Vegan
  • Prep Time: 10 minutes (plus 1–2 hours rising)
  • Bake Time: 45 minutes
  • Total Slices: Approximately 8-10

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups lukewarm water (400 ml)
  • 1 sachet fast-acting dry yeast (11 g)
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour (400 g)
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • A little oil for handling
  • Baking paper (optional but helpful)

Instructions

1. Activate the Yeast

In a large bowl, mix together the lukewarm water and fast-acting yeast. Stir until dissolved. 🌊✨

2. Mix the Dough

Add the flour and salt. Combine with a spatula until fully integrated.
The dough will be sticky—this is what gives the loaf its soft, airy crumb. 🌥️

3. First Rise

Cover and let the dough sit at room temperature for 1–2 hours (1 hour is often enough if you’re in a hurry!).

4. Fold the Dough (No Kneading)

After rising, start preheating the oven to 200°C (400°F).

Lightly oil your hands.
Without removing the dough from the bowl, gently pull one side of the dough and fold it into the center. Repeat this four times, turning the bowl slightly each time, always folding toward the middle.
Do not knead, this step simply strengthens the dough while keeping it airy. It will feel sticky—totally normal! 🤲✨

5. Prepare the Loaf Tin

Use a loaf tin (~28 × 15 × 8 cm, ~2.1 L).
Line it with baking paper, leaving extra paper on the sides to lift the bread out easily.

Transfer the dough into the tin.

6. Score the Top

Use a sharp knife to make one long cut across the top, lengthwise.
It might seem subtle, but it helps the loaf rise beautifully in the oven. 🌿

7. Bake

Bake in two stages:

  1. 25 minutes at 200°C (400°F)
  2. Then 20 minutes at 180°C (375°F)

The top will be golden, and the bottom should sound hollow when tapped. 🌞

8. Cool & Slice

Lift the loaf using the baking paper and let it cool before slicing.
You’ll get 8–10 slices of soft, airy homemade goodness. 🍞💛

Enjoy your delicious homemade loaf, you’ll be amazed how simple and satisfying fresh bread can be! 🥰
